SMCC Description

Nestled at the edge of Casco Bay, Southern Maine Community College (SMCC) is a haven for students interested in virtually any area of study.

SMCC offers over 40 degree and certificate programs for first-time and continuing education students. Student-faculty relationships are a key component to the curriculum at SMCC and students are assigned permanent faculty advisors at the beginning of their program.

The fastest growing community college in New England, SMCC has much to offer students. A lively campus with plenty amenities to offer, students can take advantage of student organizations, clubs and athletics.

The beach is just steps away from campus, and the surrounding Portland area offers a variety of entertainment options including museums, theaters, restaurants and shopping.
