Located in Monessen, Pennsylvania, Douglas Education Center offers two-year degrees in such promising fields as Medical Assisting, Health Information Technology, Cosmetology, Esthetic Arts and Business Technology.

However, the school also offers programs for those with specific career goals in the arts. These include training in Special Effects Make-Up, Digital Illustration, Digital Filmmaking and a program for those who wish to work as artists in the sci-fi/fantasy industry.

Since Douglas Education Center is located just outside of Pittsburgh, much of student life revolves around local activities. A thriving urban center, Pittsburgh has everything from an active nightlife to arts and cultural activities.

The school’s concierge service assists students with all aspects of career development. Whether it’s helping you to prepare a resume, design a website, develop networking skills or search for a job, the concierge service offers it and lots more. Not only that, but graduates are automatically given lifetime membership to the service and may, therefore, use it at any point in their lives.

Admission requirements include a high school diploma or GED. Financial aid is available through scholarships, loans and grants to help eligible students lacking in resources to cover tuition and other expenses.
