Description

For over 20 years, Scott College of Cosmetology has provided West Virginia residents with a quality and in-depth beauty education. Functioning as a salon as well as a school, Scott College is up to date on the latest trends in hairstyling and fashion.

SCC’s academics include one 15-month, 2,000-hour cosmetology program. The curriculum attempts to cover all aspects of cosmetology theory and practice, including hairstyling, manicuring, makeup, and sanitation.
The program also teaches skills essential to the business that other schools might gloss over, such as ethics, personal hygiene, and salesmanship.

Scott College of Cosmetology wants its students to succeed after school, and offers job placement services to all of its graduates. SCC can help arrange interviews and coach you on interviewing techniques, and the school boasts impressively high job-placement rates. In 2010, the placement rate for Scott College graduates was 94%, which is a fairly consistent figure.

The admissions process to Scott College of Cosmetology includes a background check, personal interview and entrance exam. You must be a high school graduate or hold a GED to apply. Financial aid is also available to those who qualify.
