The Southwest Skill Center at Estrella Mountain College provides flexible career training programs for in-demand fields. With its numerous financial aid and tuition assistance options and open-enrollment admissions policy, the Skill Center makes career training as easy and accessible as possible. Located in Avondale, Arizona, The Southwest Skill Center prepares students through both day and evening courses for employment in such healthcare careers as:
*Medical Assisting
*Practical Nursing
*Medical Billing and Coding
Classes remain small to foster student learning and also use the most current technologies available in each industry.
To enroll in a Southwest Skill Center program, students will need to meet with a program representative and take an entrance assessment in basic math and reading skills.
Financial aid is offered to students with a strong financial need in the form of grants and loans. Additional tuition assistance programs are available through such sponsoring agencies as Arizona Workforce Connection and The Rotary Vocational Fund.
Veterans may also receive financial assistance. In addition to helping with tuition costs, The Southwest Skill Center will help students with the cost of books.
