Residents of Union County, Arkansas, who are interested in a beauty arts career may get thorough, hands-on training at the Professional Cosmetology Education Center in Eldorado.
The school’s Cosmetology program combines hairdressing, make-up and manicuring skills with training in sales and salon management.
All Cosmetology students also get the chance to work in the school salon, cutting, styling and coloring hair, doing weaves and performing facials, waxes, manicures and pedicures.
The Center also has an Instructor-training course for licensed cosmetologists interested in training others.
Enrollment in the Cosmetology program is open to anyone with a high school diploma or GED who can provide identification and a social security card.
Students who need help with tuition have many options available. First of all, the school makes tuition payment plans. The school also participates in federal financial aid programs, which provide loans and grants.
The Workforce Investment Act is another source of assistance for those who have been unemployed and are looking to develop a new career.
