Description

As its name indicates, Professional Beauty School provides career-oriented education for aspiring cosmetologists. Convenience and accessibility are key points of Professional Beauty School. The school has start dates scattered throughout the year, and admissions requirements are minimal. While Professional Beauty School requires a high school diploma or GED, applicants who score well enough on the Ability to Benefit test can waive this requirement.

Professional Beauty School’s cosmetology course runs for 1600 hours, and can usually be completed in 40 to 60 weeks. The curriculum combines a variety of instructional techniques, synthesizing classroom and practical experience.

While some cosmetology schools might focus only on hairstyling, Professional Beauty School’s cosmetology course teaches a broad range of skills. Students learn about nail care and esthetics as well as all aspects of haircutting and styling.

Professional Beauty School does not currently offer scholarships. However, financial aid is available in the form of federal grants and loans. State financial aid and external scholarships may also be an option for eligible students. For maximum consideration, make sure you file a FAFSA as soon as possible.
