Description

Most beauty schools promise to prepare you for the State Board Exam, but Metro Beauty Academy realizes that the exam is just the beginning of your cosmetology career. The academy seeks to foster its students’ creativity and professional drive, so you’ll not only be ready for the State Board Exam, but for the career that follows it.

Metro Beauty Academy’s academics include programs in Cosmetology and Esthetics. The Cosmetology program gradually introduces you to the many skills that a beauty professional needs, from haircutting to nail care. Practical experience is emphasized, and Metro’s industry partnerships enable you to learn with the best products on the market.

In the state of Pennsylvania, only 300 hours of study are needed to become a licensed esthetician. Metro feels that this is not enough time to cover all aspects of the craft, and offers a 600-hour Esthetics program instead. As a student, you’ll be able to work in Metro’s state-of-the-art day spa, so you’ll have plenty of on-the-job experience by the time you graduate.

To apply to Metro Beauty Academy, you have to first participate in a Career Planning interview with an admissions representative. As part of this interview, you’ll discuss your financial aid options, which will likely include federal grants or loans.
