Description
If you believe that massage therapy has a substantial effect on the health and wellbeing of the population and want to contribute, then the Universal Body Wellness School in McKinney, Texas, one of the only schools in North Texas that offers an advanced massage therapy education, may be the right school for you.
The curriculum is a 500-hour program that covers basic and advanced theory and skills that will qualify you to sit for the National Certification Exam. In order to gain certification, students must pass the exam, uphold the organization’s standards of practice and code of ethics, and take part in continuing education to make sure that you are constantly refreshed in any new advances, trends, or techniques in the massage therapy world.
Instructors are professionals in massage therapy who take the time to get to know you individually so that they can provide personalized instruction. Class sizes are small to ensure each student receives individual treatment.
The school provides students with many resources, including practice exams that feature more than 2000 massage questions to help prepare you for the certification exam and associations with the American Massage Therapy Association, which contains employment opportunities as well as services to advance the art, science, and practice of massage therapy.
Admissions require students must be at least 17 years old at the start of the program and demonstrate physical fitness for standing, sitting, and bending for long durations.
Tuition does not include the price of textbooks or scrubs.
