Description

In addition to being a manufacturer of a highly respected beauty product line, AVEDA is a well-respected name in beauty arts education.

The AVEDA campus at Covington, Louisiana, offers a stimulating and scenic environment in which to study. Situated near Lake Ponchartrain, Covington features a charming downtown area as well as such cultural offerings as concerts in the park and art galleries.

While each AVEDA location offers different training programs, all of the institutes are known for the primarily hands-on as well as progressive teaching techniques employed.

In addition to offering a Teacher-Education program for licensed cosmetologists who wish to work as cosmetology educators, AVEDA Covington offers programs in Cosmetology, Esthiology and Manicuring. Since students are required to perform these services through extensive work at the school salon, they have the chance to practice and refine these skills as well as build a client-base.

Since AVEDA has salons all over the world, AVEDA graduates also have an automatic network of salons where they may seek employment.

With a longstanding commitment to the environment, AVEDA products are “green” and AVEDA instructors promote this lifestyle and attitude in their classes.

AVEDA’s financial aid offers include a talent scholarship for students who exhibit great promise. To help students who have a strong financial need federal grants and loans may also be awarded. Students must apply for loans and grants by filling out a FAFSA online.
