From Wikipedia, The Free Encyclopedia

Grayson County College (GCC) is a community college located in Grayson County, Texas. GCC's main campus is located in Denison, with branch campuses in Sherman, Van Alstyne and Bonham (the latter in neighboring Fannin County).

The main campus (consisting of the East Campus and the West Campus) is in a rural setting near Grayson County Airport. The East Campus is all new construction and houses the administration; the West Campus is comprised mainly of buildings left over by the former Perrin Air Force Base, including an 18-hole golf course which the college now operates and vineyards which carry on the work of famed horticulturalist and Denison resident Thomas Volney Munson.

GCC offers associate degrees in over 25 areas of study, and operates in partnership with West Texas A&M University to offer selected bachelor's degrees online, with student counseling provided by GCC.

GCC, a member of the NJCAA, also offers athletic scholarships in baseball, basketball, and softball.

In February 2007, GCC's Board of Trustees called for a $44,790,000 bond election to expand and improve the existing campus, which was held in May and the referendum passed. This was GCC's first bond election since the one called to create the campus in the 1960's. Among other things, $25.7 million would be devoted to a new Career and Technical Center on the East campus, moving these facilities from their current West Campus location.

As defined by the Texas Legislature, the official service area of GCC includes all of Grayson County and territory within the following school districts in Fannin County:

  • Bonham Independent School District
  • Dodd City Independent School District
  • Ector Independent School District
  • Leonard Independent School District
  • Sam Rayburn Independent School District
  • Savoy Independent School District
  • Trenton Independent School District

Question: Getting into RN program at Grayson County College, Dension,Tx?

Does anyone know about how many students are accepted into the Rn program each year at grayson county college?

Best Answer

The LPN lets in 70 students each fall. Watch these videos and look at the schools catalog it has very good info about getting in it. No video on the RN program. :-( I would look in the schools catalog on page 110 should have the correct contact person to call and ask. Or you could email nursing@grayson.edu and they should be able to answer that.
