Description
The Kenneth Shuler School of Cosmetology in Rock Hill, South Carolina, aims to produce South Carolina’s next professional cosmetologists, estheticians, and nail technicians. Its goal is to prepare students for the South Carolina State Board examination upon graduation.
The school offers a ten-day program, free of charge, to students who want to experience a cosmetology education to see if it’s right for them.
To ensure that graduates of the school are properly prepared for a professional career, they’ll also be instructed in the business side of the industry, learning skills like how to effectively communicate with clients, how to handle finances, how to market their business, and many more. This part of the program is completed through the Milady Business Fundamentals program.
Kenneth Shuler offers continuing education courses so that you can renew your license every two years. Students may also take a Methods of Teaching course so that they can become professional cosmetology instructors.
Each school hosts a variety of events such as the Souper Bowl of Caring, jean days, bake sales, and more to help reach out to food-related charitable organizations available through the community. College life is founded in these events and organizations.
The school also gives students many opportunities to meet with prospective employers through its many job fairs.
Admissions require students to complete an interest form, fill out a FAFSA application, and visit the campus.
Eligible students may receive financial aid through scholarships like the Kenneth Schuler Achievement scholarship, Joe Francis Hair Care Scholarship, NCEA Esthetician Scholarship, and more. Students may also receive ACE grants.
