Description
Empire Beauty School is a nationwide network of cosmetology institutes. Because cosmetology is a hands-on career, Empire schools emphasize practical education. Empire also maintains a partnership with Regis Corporation, which creates a unique employment network at over 12,000 salons.
Empire Beauty School in Concord currently offers two programs: Cosmetology and Teacher of Cosmetology. The Cosmetology program focuses on hairstyling but teaches all aspects of the field, including:
- Hair cleansing
- Styling
- Color and texture
- Skin care
- Makeup
- Business and retail
Because Empire’s curriculum is primarily hands-on, you’ll get plenty of experience working with real clients. Not only will this help develop your technical skills, it will also grow your communication skills, which are essential to the business.
The Teacher of Cosmetology program is designed for licensed cosmetologists who want to teach their craft to others. The extensive curriculum will teach you how to structure your lessons, interact with students and lead a class.
In addition to government grants and loans, Empire Beauty School funds a number of financial aid opportunities. For example, the High School Scholarship program awards up to $1,500 to high school seniors enrolled in the school, while the Future Salon Professional Scholarship is designed for African American students.
