Overall

I really like this school, I graduated from Ivy Tech in 2006 with a Business degree, and I remember it was so flexible. I am re-applying to this school to obtain my Associates Degree to become a Physical Therapists Assistant. I love that I can still work, and earn my degree. This school is very cost efficient, and the Professors are helpful. Even if you are wanting to earn a Bachelor's Degree, I would highly recommend taking your Pre-Req's here and then transferring over to a University, it's a lot cheaper that way.

Academics

In the Summer, I will be starting school again. I have not attended school for 7 years now, but from what I remember, I loved the classes/professors/workload. The class sizes were more to my liking rather than the University I did attend. I really feel like I get more out of the class when it's a small group. From what I remember, the Professors were very helpful and made it easier to learn the materials because they could offer more attention to the students. The workload was never too overbearing, it just flowed right along, and I was even able to work 35+ hrs a week while studying and completing assignments. I attended the Indianapolis Campus, and it had quite a diverse group of students, but that's what I loved.

Campus Facilities & Safety

I had attended a University for a year before going to Ivy Tech, and I hated the parking. I could never get to class on time, and I had to park a mile away from class when I eventually did find a spot. At Ivy Tech, it was fairly easy to find a spot, and I didn't have to walk that far. It is a busy campus, so I felt very safe when walking out of even night classes. I do not remember using a computer lab there, but they have always had the resources available when needed. I really do like the offices there, I usually can get right in and right out with any questions I have had.

Overall

The culinary arts tour was extraordinary and state-of-the-art kitchens. The shuttle service between the main campus and other sites are very helpful from a transportation perspective. I'm looking forward to having a terrific experience there.

Academics

I haven't really examined or formed any opinions about the academics. I'm really interested in the culinary arts program, and for those classes I have high expectations. I have consulted with the culinary arts professors and have examined the program at length. I'm excited.

Campus Facilities & Safety

The bus service provided for intra-campus transportation is very well organized and safe. The parking is ample - except at the main campus. The security is well staffed and 'present'. The Labs for the food prep are state-of-the-art.

Overall

I liked the friendly environment, also how flexible the school is and that a person can go to school here and still work. I liked the 2+2 plan that was exciting to hear about also seeing different parts of the campus and seeing how clean and well kept the building was. This was my first time going on a college visit and Ivy Tech has definitely set the goal high for the other campuses I might go to look at. But I know I would like to attend this college.

Academics

My school's academics are similar to Ivy Tech's we can take dual credits, so we can get the basic classes out of the way so when we attend a college we will be well prepared. The class size are not that big just a normal size class no more than 28 people in any of my classes. The workload is not that bad it just depends on the teacher and the courses you take like an advance, AP, honors, etc class. The teachers are very understanding here and are very helpful and are pretty flexible.

Campus Facilities & Safety

Ivy Tech's campus atmosphere is very nice and friendly. The building is in nice conditions and well kept, the computer labs are nice and the organizations of people walking from class to class is nice. There are a lot of space to park and even though the campus is under construction its safety is still there and there are signs warning people to watch their step.
