In addition to professional certificates and associate’s degrees in high-employment fields, Palo Verde College in Blythe, California offers highly accessible, comprehensive student services.

At Palo Verde, students can train to work in such fields as Alcohol and Drug Counseling, Business Management, Computer Information Science and Practical Nursing. Programs in the liberal arts, humanities and social and natural sciences are also available to prepare students for transfer to a four-year school.

The Needles Center provides comprehensive student services. Students may drop in anytime to take make-up tests, career assessment evaluations and to receive disability support and tutoring in English, Math and other subjects.

Anyone with a high school diploma or GED may enroll after filling out an application, attending an orientation and taking a placement test.

Students may apply for scholarships, Pell grants and other forms of financial aid to see if they are eligible. Tuition assistance programs for such populations as foster youth are also available to those who qualify.
