Description

The Putnam Career and Technical Center has well over a dozen career programs for students, including programs in the medical, technical/electrical, construction, and skilled labor fields. Most programs take two academic years to complete.

In addition to providing the knowledge and skills needed to start a technical career, Putnam Career and Technical Center also sets a foundation for students to continue with their lifelong learning.

While earning a career certificate at PCTC, you may also be able to earn college credit for some of your classes, furthering you along the path towards earning a degree. This is especially convenient for those students looking to gain the education and training needed to start their career while continuing with their education towards a degree and more long-term goals.

Along with applying for FAFSA and Pell Grants, qualifying Putnam County high school students may be eligible for the school’s “13th year scholarship”. PCTC’s tuition fee is the same for everyone, so out-of-state residents don’t have to worry about paying a higher rate. Keep in mind that some programs may include other costs or fees.

If you’re looking to further your education and/or want to start your career in a technical field, Putnam Career and Technical Center is a great place to start.
