UIW Description

The University of the Incarnate Word in San Antonio is a Catholic university that focuses on both spiritual and educational development and growth. The University Mission & Ministry is an integral part of student life. The school engages the entire campus through worship, outreach, reflection, and discipleship.

UIW offers over 70 undergraduate and several graduate programs as well as doctoral and professional possibilities. In addition, the university has an Adult Degree Completion Program, which allows adult students to receive a quality education at an accelerated pace. The school also offers online courses.

The University of the Incarnate Word has rooms on campus, however they do tend to fill up quickly as the number of admissions continues to rise, so be sure to call early to inquire about availability. UIW also offers over 60 student organizations including Greek life.

Students are encouraged to become involved to help them learn important interdependency skills, among many other benefits. Located near downtown San Antonio, students have a lot of historical sites and activities available to them.

The university boasts that there are thousands of scholarships available for eligible students. Tuition costs are the same for both in-state and out-of-state residents.
