In 1997, the Lancaster County Career & Technology Center (LCCTC) completed a modernization project. The result of this initiative is that the all three original campuses are remodeled; classrooms and labs have the latest in hand tools, power equipment, machinery, and high tech equipment. In 2006, the Lancaster County Public Safety Training Center was approved and added as a fourth campus location. This campus consists of six buildings and a 3.5 acre driver training course on a 26-acre tract. Emergency workers and current LCCTC students receive state-of-the-art training at the Centers rifle-range building, burn tower, drill tower, control tower, pavilion, smoke building and administrative building.
LCCTC is known throughout Pennsylvania as having one of the best facilities and equipped schools in the State. LCCTC is the fourth largest technical school operating in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania featuring state-of-the-art training technology and a first class, training facilities. Full time senior and adult students meet in industry approved labs and gain knowledge and skills using traditional and contextual teaching strategies paired with hands-on, real-world learning.
