Diablo Valley College is an ideal place for students in the bay area who wish to eventually transfer to schools like UCLA and UC Berkeley.Located in Pleasant Hill, California, only 20 minutes from UC Berkeley, Diablo Valley cites its transfer rate as one of its strong suits. In addition to Berkeley, many students go on to places like UCLA and other UC, Cal State and private universities.
Diablo Valley offers associate’s degrees in such diverse fields as Addiction Studies, Broadcasting, Horticulture, Music and Respiratory Therapy in addition to common fields of study.
In order to support students in the transfer process, Diablo Valley’s transfer center hosts numerous events and provides various support services as well.
These include College and University Days where students can meet representatives from UC, Cal State and private schools in and out of state. Transfer services also offers counseling, workshops and other events on the transfer process.
In order to help students succeed in their classes and boost their chances for transferring to the school of their choice, Diablo Valley offers other services as well. These include tutoring, disability support and academic and personal counseling.
Diablo Valley also has offerings for students who wish to obtain a vocational certificate or acquire basic skills in ESL.
