Detailed Ratings

What I like best about WSU is the campus size and meeting people. All the buildings on the main campus are all walking distance. It takes approximately 5-7 minutes to get to each building. WSU also has a west campus for residence and some classes. Many students prefer to live on the west campus because the majority of classes are held on the main campus, so students like to go back to their dorm, which they consider "home" after a long day of classes and studying. I also like the fact that Winona State University is the center of Winona, so if students want to take a break from campus life, Downtown Winona is easy to get to and there are plenty of shops to explore. I also love taking walks with friends down by the lakes. There are walking and bike paths that go around both lakes and the scenery is beautiful on a nice day. I love taking walks by the lakes because it helps release stress and it's relaxing. The best advise that I can give future students is get involved in something. It's the best way to meet people and make new friends. Winona State offers over 150 clubs and new ones are created each year, so there is something for everyone to be a part of. Being involved in clubs and/or organizations also helps relieve stress from being in class all day and studying.
