Description

The Commonwealth Technical Institute (CTI) in Johnstown is the academic campus of the Hiram G. Andrews Center (HGAC). Both entities are committed to providing a learning environment that is free of barriers and offers exemplary services to those with disabilities. The school also has specialized types of equipment and workstations that are made available to students.

Degree and diploma programs such as the following are offered at CTI: Culinary Arts, Dental Laboratory Technology, Networking and Telecommunications Technology, and Small Engine and Equipment Repair.

The school also has educational support programs to prepare students for the workforce (classes in life enrichment, deaf education, etc.), and programs to assist students with their academic curriculum with advising and tutoring. It even has a driver’s education course for those who want to get a Pennsylvania driver’s license.

The school can award grants, loans and work study to students who apply and qualify.
