Description

Current and relevant, the career training programs at Career College of Northern Nevada (CCNN) provide skills training to give students an advantage in a competitive job market.

CCNN offers associate’s degrees and diplomas in such fields as:

  • Health Information Technology
  • HVAC/R Service Technology
  • Medical Assisting
  • Pharmaceutical Technology

CCNN works collaboratively with local medical and other industries to keep the curriculum as relevant as possible to what is currently practiced in the workplace.

Another benefit of a CCNN education is that in addition to their area of specialization, all students study and get a certificate in Microsoft Office, making them that much more appealing to prospective employers.

Students at CCNN will also receive help from the career services division with interview strategies, job-research skills and more. Even alumni may return to CCNN’s career services division should they ever need help finding work or have career-related questions.

Financial aid is comprehensive. An aid award could include a Pell grant, federal loans, parental (PLUS) loans, a Nevada-state grant or an institutional scholarship. Many eligible students receive a combination of these sources.

Admissions requirements for Career College of Northern Nevada include submission of an application and possession of a high school diploma or GED.

The Accrediting Commission of Career Schools and Colleges (ACCSC) is listed by the U.S. Department of Education as a nationally recognized accrediting agency. The Accrediting Commission of Career Schools and Colleges is a member of the Council on Postsecondary Accreditation. CCNN is eligible to participate in the federal student financial aid programs authorized under Title IV of the Higher Education Act of 1965, as amended, and as administered by the U.S. Department of Education.
