UMD Description

In addition to its top-ranking Engineering and Business programs, University of Michigan in Dearborn grants undergraduate and graduate degrees in more than 120 fields of study. University of Michigan Dearborn also offers many student life activities in a naturally scenic environment.

UM-Dearborn’s undergraduate degrees in the arts, sciences, education and pre-professional fields include:

Graduate programs include more than 25 master’s degrees and several doctoral programs.

Activities outside of class include student activist organizations, student cultural organizations, academic clubs, arts clubs, and religious and recreational groups.

Students also have the benefit of the campus itself, which is situated on 70 acres boasting natural beauty and featuring historic landmarks.

Freshman applicants will need to take a campus tour. Following that, they submit an application with transcripts and ACT or SAT scores. Admissions might require incoming freshmen to take a placement exam for certain courses.

Financial aid awards include grants, which are awarded based on a student’s financial need, and scholarships, which are granted based on academic performance. Loans and work-study are also available to those who qualify. UM Dearborn also participates in special aid programs for foster youth and for veterans.
