Reflecting the Catholic mission and academic excellence of St. John’s, a number of Oakdale’s faculty and graduates have gone on to receive prestigious fellowships, establish non-profits, and undertake groundbreaking work with disenfranchised cultures.

In addition to being an established institution with a history of achievements, St. John’s also offers a unique esthetic. Within the main building, a historical mansion, St. John’s has more than 100 beautifully designed classrooms, many of which have fireplaces.

Graduate admissions decisions are based on evaluation of undergraduate transcripts and letters of recommendation. Certain programs, such as Psychology, require the GRE and may have additional requirements, such as course pre-requisites.

Many St. John’s Oakdale departments offer graduate assistantships and fellowships, which cover the cost of tuition. Students will need to apply to their individual department to be considered for these.

Those who do not receive an assistantship or fellowship may also apply for loans and grants. Students must submit a FAFSA for these aid sources and their financial need will be taken into account.

Since St. John’s has a fixed tuition rate, students also have the benefit of paying the same tuition for all their years of study.
