The SAE Institute aims to provide cutting-edge education in music production, and the Institute’s LA campus is the perfect location for this goal. Student life at SAE Los Angeles gives you access to the numerous music venues and rising recording artists that the city houses, not to mention endless cultural and entertainment opportunities.

SAE Los Angeles’ academics currently include three programs:

* Audio Technology
* Electronic Music Production
* Beat Lab Production

All of these programs take a hands-on educational approach, intended to give you the practical experience needed to succeed in the music industry. Musicians, DJs, and hobbyists interested in digital experimentation are invited to take the Electronic Music Production program, which teaches general production skills and techniques. The Beat Lab Production program, on the other hand, is specifically designed for aspiring hip hop artists.

Audio Technology is a 9-month full-time program (18 months if taken part-time) that will prepare you for a career as a producer. This course covers all aspects of sound, production, and musicianship, from composition and theory to mixing and mastering. Additionally, SAE Institute offers job placement services to graduates of this program.

Admissions at SAE are ongoing. Classes start every three months, so you can enroll at your convenience. The courses fill up quickly, though, so it’s recommended that you apply early.
