The educational purpose of The Sage Colleges is to translate higher learning into action and application, recognizing the obligation of educated persons to lead and serve their communities.
Sage College of Albany, a coeducational college of applied studies prepares students for life's commitments and work in a constantly changing world. The College offers associate and baccalaureate degrees. Sage Graduate School, prepares men and women for exemplary leadership roles by combining sound theoretical preparation with professional practice.
Sage College of Albany, SCA for short, is located at 140 New Scotland Avenue, Albany, New York, 12208. It's one of the three colleges that make up The Sage Colleges. It offers both associate's and bachelor's degrees. 941 students are enrolled at the college, and it shares 160 faculty members with Russell Sage College. 74% of the student body is female.
Sage College of Albany was formerly known as Sage Junior College of Albany (JCA). Sage College of Albany was formally established for the start of the fall term in 2002 and began conferring both associate and bachelor degrees at that time. In 2006, SCA graduated it's first class of students who had always been at SCA as a four year institution.

Sage College of Albany’s on-campus, coed residence hall provides living space for about 100 first-year students in good academic standing (over 2.00 GPA.) About 88% of Sage College of Albanys first-year students live in college housing.
After their first year, students may decide to move into University Heights College Suites, a student housing complex a short walk from campus, which offers Sage students apartment-style living with fully furnished 2- and 4-bedroom units.
