Description

The Practical Nursing program at Virginia Beach City Public Schools in Virginia Beach welcomes high school seniors and adults who wish to enter the nursing industry with the necessary training and experience.

Taking less than two years to complete, the practical nursing program prepares students to not only become a practical nurse, but a certified nurse's aide at a hospital, doctor's office or other medical facility. After completion, many students also continue on to their RN degree at a community college or four-year university.

Internships are a major part of the practical nursing program, giving students the opportunity to work under the supervision of licensed medical professionals at local hospitals, clinics and medical centers.

Information about admissions policies and tuition and financial aid options may be obtained by contacting a representative in the Practical Nursing program at Virginia Beach City Public Schools.
