Description
One of the first vocational colleges in California, North-West College provides training for some of today’s most in-demand healthcare careers. Starting at the beginning of each program and continuing even after students graduate, North West also provides career coaching and preparation. Located in West Covina, California, within 30 minutes of downtown Los Angeles, North-West College has additional campuses throughout Southern California.
Some of the programs available at the West Covina campus include:
*Dental Assisting
*Vocational Nursing
*Surgical Technology
*Medical Administrative Assisting
Starting the first day of school, students get career counseling to assist them with resume building, interviewing and job-search skills. As students prepare to graduate, North-West will also arrange for student interviews with local hospitals, doctor’s offices, medical clinics, and dental facilities. Even graduates who need help with finding a job may return to get help from the career services division.
So that as many students as possible might have access to North-West’s programs, the enrollment policy is open to anyone with an interest in and commitment to a career in healthcare. Even those without a high school diploma may attend North-West.
Submission of an application, a tour of the school and an interview with a representative are required for prospective students.
Financial aid is also disbursed through federal and private loans and federal grants. Determinations about financial aid eligibility are made once a student has completed a FAFSA and are based on one’s financial need and other factors. Tuition payment plans are also available.
