Description

With more than 40 years of experience in beauty training, the Academy of Cosmetology of Charleston has a tradition of excellence. The school offers student-oriented, hands-on training for one of the fastest growing industries in the country.

ACC’s academics include three programs:

*Cosmetology
*Esthetics
*Instructor Training

The Cosmetology program focuses on hairdressing, but trains its students for a variety of beauty careers, including nail technician and esthetician.
The Esthetics program, a more focused course, is designed specifically for those interested in make-up and skin care.
The Instructor Training program is intended for currently licensed professionals who want to teach the art of cosmetology.

The Academy of Cosmetology of Charleston offers diverse financial aid opportunities. In addition to need-based federal programs, the academy also offers a limited number of scholarships. These institutional scholarships are based on merit, and are awarded according to your admissions interview and basic aptitude.

Of course, because cosmetology is a hands-on field, the academy has a student salon where you can practice your skills. By working on real patrons, you can get a feel for the industry before entering the workforce. This valuable experience is part of what makes the academy’s graduates successful.
