Description

Located in Martinsville, Virginia, Patrick Henry Community College provides not just comprehensive academics, but also extensive support for students facing all kinds of educational and other challenges.

Patrick Henry’s academics include offerings in business, information technology, medical programs, industrial careers and liberal arts for those who wish to transfer to a four-year school.

Committed to helping students from challenged backgrounds, Patrick Henry also has the Middle College, a career development program for students aged 17 to 24 who have not completed high school. On top of taking classes, students in this program get comprehensive support and career counseling.

Along these same lines is the Great Expectations program, which provides education and professional training to students in their teens and twenties who are or were in foster care.

Student life is also service-oriented. Not only are student services such as career development provided, activities also focus on service, with students volunteering at such charitable organizations as The United Way and The Boys and Girls Club.

Other student life options may be found through Patrick Henry’s student organizations, which include cultural, artistic, religious and academic clubs.

Tuition is waived for students in the Middle College and Great Expectations programs and reduced for senior citizens. Other students who wish to apply for financial aid may need to meet some requirements, such as having a diploma or GED.

Patrick Henry has an open admissions policy, so get started today!
