Located in the lush, mountainous city of Laramie, the University of Wyoming provides the perfect combination of extensive academics and beautiful location. As you might expect, much of college life at UW consists of outdoor recreation, including mountain climbing, intramural sports and courses in the National Outdoor Leadership School.

The University of Wyoming consists of the following colleges:
* College of Agriculture and Natural Resources
* College of Arts and Sciences
* College of Business
* College of Education
* College of Engineering and Applied Sciences
* College of Health Sciences

More than 190 programs of study are available at the undergraduate and graduate level.

The university is also home to the recently established School of Energy Resources and School of Environment & Natural Resources. Both of these schools feature progressive and unique programs in sustainability and conservation.

In addition to federal financial aid opportunities, the University of Wyoming funds a number of institutional scholarships.

Awards are divided into the “general” and “competitive” categories. General scholarships are those awarded automatically upon enrollment, based on academic merit. Competitive scholarships require a separate application, and may be based on a variety of criteria.
