Provided by Cecil College-North EastCecil College, which was founded in 1968, is located in North East, Md. It is governed by a Board of Trustees that is appointed by the governor. The College is fully accredited by the Middle States Association of Colleges and Schools and the Maryland Higher Education Commission. Cecil also has articulation agreements with more than 30 universities and colleges, both in Maryland and outside the state.
Cecil College is a small, publicly funded, open-access institution, which promotes educational, cultural and economic development in a changing county in rural northeastern Maryland. The faculty and staff are dedicated to providing an optimal education in an environment which fosters social responsibility and appreciation for cultural diversity. Cecil Community College offers high-quality transfer, career credit, and continuing education courses and programs which are designed for college preparation, for the acquisition and upgrading of employment skills, and for personal enrichment. A variety of student services are available to help students formulate and achieve their goals.
