Description

Tyler Junior College in Tyler, Texas offers both practical, career-oriented degree programs and a practical approach to academics.

For convenience, many of Tyler’s courses are offered online, on video, and in the standard classroom format.

Associate’s degrees are awarded in Art, Communications, Math, Music, Sociology, Theatre and others. Since most of these majors don’t offer practical career training, Tyler also allows its Liberal Arts and Science majors to pursue a second major in a Technical or Allied Health field.

Technical and Allied Health majors include Diagnostic Medical Sonography, Human Services, Nursing, Physical Therapy Assistance, Fire Protection Technology and Paralegal Studies.

To give students the chance to pursue additional interests, Tyler houses various student life opportunities including special interest, religious and academic student organizations, a school newspaper, a school band and community service activities.

Admission is open to anyone with a high school diploma or GED, though high school students may also apply for a special early entry program.

Financial aid is awarded to qualifying students who need help paying for tuition.
