The mission and educational philosophy of Boricua College are expressed through its commitment to the liberal arts, defined as a Generic Core of intellectual, affective and psychomotoric competencies carefully integrated with general areas of knowledge of the social and natural sciences and the humanities. From this liberal arts base, students can then progress through a series of academic programs leading to Bachelors of Arts, Bachelors of Science and Masters degrees.

Specifically, the College's programs seek to achieve the following objectives:

* To develop in students a Generic Core of intellectual skills, emotional commitment to humanistic values, competent behaviors, and capacity to assimilate knowledge, needed to become responsible members of society, and for subsequent specialized training.
* To examine the human condition through concentration and disciplined study of the body of knowledge of the Liberal Arts and Sciences.
* To examine through Inter-American Studies, the relationships of the peoples and nations of North, Central and South America, and of the Caribbean basin, with respect to politics, economics and culture.
* To address the need for bilingual professionals for the Human Service institutions of New York City.
* To address the need for bilingual Childhood Education teachers in the City's public school system.
* To address the needs of the growing Puerto Rican and Latino community for Business managers and entrepreneurs.

Boricua College is a post-secondary educational institution located in New York City. The college was designed to serve the educational needs of Puerto Ricans and other Hispanics.

The school employs a largely bilingual faculty of 130 full-time and 100 part-time faculty and serves a student population of 1,200.

The school has four campuses, one in Washington Heights, one in North Williamsburg, one in East Williamsburg, and one in The Bronx.
