Knox County Career Center offers flexibility in scheduling based on your needs. Different learning tracks will lead you to the classes that will work best for you.

Short-term classes help students hone their technical skills to create job readiness. These classes are deigned to fit the working man’s schedule, set after 5 p.m. and ranging from 1 to 100 hours. Courses can prepare you for a career as a fitness professional, casino dealer, EMT, and more.

Full-time classes train students for careers in cosmetology, practical nursing, public safety, massage therapy, medical assisting and welding.

Online classes are another option for those who are unable to change their schedule for school. There are over 300 classes in fields such as medical transcription, pharmacy technician and certificate courses.

Students eligible for Knox County Career Center must be over 16 and not enrolled in public school. Financial aid is available for eligible students in the forms of PELL Grants, veterans benefits, workforce investment and student loans.
