Serving South Carolina’s Beaufort, Coleton, Hampton and Jasper counties, Technical College of the Low Country (TCLC) offers comprehensive career training and academics.
With its main campus in Beaufort, TCLC also has campuses in Walterboro, Bluffton and Varnville.
All credit programs lead to either an associate’s degree or a certificate. TCLC’s more than 80 programs of study include such subject areas as Business, Criminal Justice, Paralegal Studies, Nursing, Physical Therapy Assistance, Surgical Technology, Cosmetology and Building Construction.
Those interested in transferring to a four-year university may also major in one of TCLC’s liberal arts or science programs.
Student life promotes student success and well-being. In addition to recreational activities, TCLC’s campus houses numerous services. These include tutoring, disability services, counseling, career planning and childcare.
TCLC has an open admissions policy, which allows most individuals to attend regardless of their educational background or grades.
Tuition is substantially lower for South Carolina residents and eligible students may receive some form of financial aid.
