UT Tyler Description
University of Texas Tyler provides a comfortable, beautiful and culturally rich environment in which to undertake one’s degree.
Located among the lovely pine and oak forests of eastern Texas, UT Tyler offers more than 90 undergraduate and graduate degrees. All programs are taken through one of UT’s five colleges, which include the colleges of arts and sciences, engineering and computer science and nursing and health sciences where students may earn a PhD in nursing.
Rich in cultural offerings, UT Tyler’s R. Don Cowan Fine and Performing Arts Center attracts tens of thousands of patrons annually. The Center hosts everything from Broadway plays to concerts to presentations from celebrity performers, politicians and authors.
Another attribute of the UT Tyler campus is the Herrington Patriot Center. This state-of-the-art fitness center is equipped with numerous tracks and courts, a cardio theater and a heated pool and spa.
Campus life includes several on-campus housing options and a number of student organizations such as student government and Greek life. There are also 15 intercollegiate sports teams for men and women.
In addition to traditional scholarships, grants, loans and work-study for eligible students, UT Tyler also offers rebate programs for timely graduation and weekend course attendance.
