School Description
Provided by Allen CollegeAllen College is a private, co-educational regionally accredited post-secondary institution categorized by the Carnegie Foundation as a Special Focus Institution. Allen College sponsors four academic degree programs. The Associate of Science in Radiography (ASR) is a two-year degree program. The Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) is offered for pre- and post-licensure students seeking to start or advance a career in professional nursing. The Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) program offers six tracks: family, acute care, adult/gerontological, and adult psychiatric–mental health nurse practitioner tracks; a nurse educator track; and a nurse leader track for nurses wishing to advance their careers. Students can complete a post-master’s certificate in each of these tracks. In fall 2009, Allen College will admit students to a new Bachelor of Health Science (BHS) degree program that will prepare clinical laboratory scientists and nuclear medical technologists. Students can complete a post-master’s certificate in each of these tracks. An RN to MSN track and a certificate in pain management are also offered.
