"The major objective of Central Texas Beauty College is to prepare our students to become successful members of the Cosmetology profession. We also prepare students for the state commission examination. In order to fulfill our objective, we must not only teach the techniques and artistry of cosmetology, but also teach poise, charm, self-relaince, business practices and personal and public hygeine. We also teach business practice and salon development."
To enter our college we require a high school diploma, a GED or student must pass our college admittance test to prove that they can benefit from the training. The test at Central Texas Beauty College is the Career Program Assessment test. The minimum score for passing are as follows: Language Usage: 42; Reading 43; and Numerical Skills 41. The test are administered and graded by Dr. George W. Whitt of Whitt and Associates, an independent Educational Consultant, in accordance to the procedures designed by Career Program Assessment Test Inc. Students must be at least 18 years of age to enroll. Students admitted on the "ability to benefit" are encouraged to prepare for the GED examination and take the examination. No student will be considered for admittance by admission test if they have not completed the 7th grade of school. Transfer fees are not charged.
The school offers classes for all courses during the entire year, and any eligible person may enroll monthly starting in January of each year that the school is in session. Classes begin at 8:30 AM. and end at 6:00 P.M. Monday through Friday. Closed on Saturday and Sunday. One half hour is observed for lunch. Christmas holidays and New Years extend for approximately 2 weeks. The school is closed two days for Thanksgiving and one day for July 4th, Labor Day and Memorial Day.

A program that prepares individuals to shampoo, cut, style, set, and dress the scalp hair of women and/or men, braid hair, apply hair cosmetics and wigs, and prepare for licensure as professional cosmetologists, hairdressers, and barbers at various levels.
