Located in the scenic southern California coastal community of Malibu, Pepperdine University is a private Christian university that has received high rankings from U.S. News and World Report. Pepperdine has received the honorable recognition of being ranked as one of the ten best universities in California by U.S. News and World Report. Additionally, several of its individual colleges, including the one in Business and the one in Public Policy have been recognized.
In addition to these colleges Pepperdine has a school of arts and sciences, a school of law and a school of education and psychology. All of them offer both bachelor’s and graduate-level degrees to its many students.
In addition to its exceptional academics, Pepperdine boasts rich cultural arts offerings. An on-campus performing arts center draws people from all over Southern California to watch world-class musical and theatrical performances.
Student services are offered through each college, and include a career center, disability services, academic advising, counseling and financial aid for eligible students.
Affiliated with the Churches of Christ, Pepperdine is committed to exceptional academics in the context of Christian spirituality and the Christian way of life is celebrated both within and outside of the classroom.
Outside of the classroom, students are required to attend Christian convocation lectures and to take several religion courses. Attendance at Bible lectures and participation in the campus ministry are also encouraged. There is even a degree through the department of arts and sciences which prepares students for professional ministry work.
Students who reside on campus also benefit from Spiritual Life Advisors who are assigned to each dorm and provide spiritual counseling and mentor-ship.
