Description

At Los Angeles Ort College, students get numerous types of support while getting training for in-demand careers in a short amount of time. Ort also provides English-language courses for second-language learners.

Located on Wilshire Blvd. in the heart of Los Angeles, Ort also has additional campuses throughout the world. Ort Los Angeles trains students for business, healthcare and technology professions such as:
*Accounting
*Pharmacy Technology
*Medical Office Management
*Digital Media

Whether interested in undertaking Ort’s career-oriented diplomas or not, those who need English-language skills may also enroll in Ort’s ESL diploma program.

To make students’ lives as stress-free as possible, Ort provides various services, including transportation via shuttle to certain parts of the city, money for bus fare and referrals for childcare. Graduates of Ort may even return to take a review course, free of charge, within two years of leaving the school.

Ort also provides job-placement assistance for those who are getting ready to graduate from one of Ort’s career programs.

Those who are interested in attending Ort need only have a high school diploma, GED or a passing score on the California High School Proficiency Exam (CHSPE). However, those who did not graduate from high school may still attend Ort by taking and passing the Ability to Benefit test given by the school.

All applicants to the ESL program must take a placement test. All prospective applicants must first interview with an Ort representative.

Ort awards scholarships to American as well as international students. Those who are interested in the scholarship program may contact an Ort representative for further information.
