Walters State Community College, located near the Great Smoky Mountains and serving the eastern Tennessee communities of Morristown, Greeneville, Sevierville and Tazewell, offers comprehensive two-year programs in a variety of fields.

Over 70 associate’s degrees and technical certificates can be attained. The following list highlights just a few of the dozens of programs available:

Walters Community College is a campus of the State University and Community College System of Tennessee Board of Regents and aims to prepare students to trasnfer to a four-year institution for bachelor’s degrees and beyond.

Many of the two-year and certificate programs are centered on health, agriculture or applied engineering fields. Health careers degree programs include Pre-Pharmacy, Pre-Radiography, Pre-Medicine, Pre-Dental and Pre-Optometry; agriculture degrees include Horticulture, Agriculture Business and Greenhouse Management. The engineering technical certificates range from Clean Energy to Biomedical Equipment Technology.

The Walters State Expo Center opened nearby to stimulate community and economic development through agribusiness, educational and commercial activities, and events. The equestrian center hosts the region’s premier horse and livestock shows, rodeos and local high school graduation ceremonies.
