New Castle School of Trades
4117 Pulaski Road, New Castle, PA 16101
Description
With full degrees taking over the American educational philosophy, the effectiveness of technical and trade schools have been largely ignored. Technical and trade school is alive and well in western Pennsylvania at the New Castle School of Trades (NATTS).
For students who don’t feel that a liberal arts education will suit or interest them, highly valued careers in automotive technology, building technology, welding, heavy equipment operators and refrigeration technology are just some of the areas of specialized education offered by the New Castle School of Trades.
Hands-on training best prepares students for their daily lives in these highly technical fields, and evening classes are also offered for workers or other busy adults who want to enhance their skills.
Financial aid is available to those who qualify through federal grants and loan programs and the School of Trades has a competent staff to help guide you through the forms and paperwork.
The career services division of New Castle School of Trades has a three-pronged program to help transition the student to work through:
• Professional Development Advising
• Visits by local prospective employers
• Contacting local employers
Programs can last from six weeks to 60 weeks depending on the program, and part-time attendance can be accommodated.
The New Castle School of Trades is accredited by the Accrediting Commission of the National Association of Trade and Technical Schools.
