Miami Lakes Educational Center is a vocational school for those who want more from their school than a diploma.

As part of the Miami-Dade County public school system, the college accepts high school students looking to attend regular high school-level classes in addition to gaining vocational training. The result is a dual high school diploma and training program certificate of completion.

The adult program at Miami Lakes offers education programs such as GED attainment, Cosmetology, Dental Assisting, Nursing, Truck Driving and much more. The college is on a trimester schedule, with different program lengths for each vocational subject, providing a flexible educational experience.

The school offers an assortment of services for its students including career assessment, counseling, financial aid, job placement services – as well as day care for children. You might be interested to know that food from the cafeteria is prepared by Commercial Foods and Culinary Arts students.
