USM Description
In Portland, Maine, students can earn a bachelor’s, master’s, certificate of graduate study, certificate of advanced study, or doctorate degree at the University of Southern Maine.
Programs available to study include subjects such as Applied Technical Leadership, Computer Science, Criminology, Environmental Planning and Policy, Health Science, Industrial Technology, Musical Theatre, Nursing, Sport Management, and Therapeutic Recreation, as well as many others.
The campus is filled with many different entertainment and activity options. The art galleries, planetarium, arboretum, and theater are available to visit and enjoy during the times you aren’t in class or studying. The campus newspaper, literary journal, and radio station are run by students and are the perfect way to join a fun activity and prepare for a career.
For academic help, students can use academic advising, assessment and testing, or the writing center. There is also a career exploration program which can help students find out what sort of job would best suit them.
