Many of the most rewarding careers require years of schooling in order to get your foot in the door. Thankfully, there are schools like the Nichols Career Center, located in Jefferson City, Missouri, which are dedicated to combining education career training to prepare you for the job market quickly and effectively.The fields available to study are Automotive Technology, Building Trades, Computer Technology, Graphic Communications, Electronics, Heating/Air Conditioning/Refrigeration, Welding, Dental Assisting, Practical Nursing, and Radiologic Technology.
With exception of the Radiologic Technology program, which has its deadline on the second Monday of March, application deadlines for specific career programs are open until fall. The earlier you apply, the more likely you are to receive one of the coveted spots.
Assessment tests for career advisement are available for students to take. Counselors are dedicated to finding full-time employment for participating students, helping build resumes and teaching interviewing skills. All you need to do to receive this valuable assistance is make an appointment with one of the many counselors.
Financial aid is available to those who qualify in the forms of loans, grants, work-study and scholarships. Some of the requirements in order to receive financial aid include having a high school diploma or GED, being drug-free and having a great attendance record.
