Description
Ivy Tech Community College, founded in 1968 and located in Lafayette, Indiana, offers an affordable two-year education that sets up students interested in a bachelor’s degree for a smooth transition to one of Indiana’s four-year schools.
Ivy Tech offers associate’s degrees and technical certificates. The school offers continuing education courses for adults looking to further their education or advance their career.
Students have access to the Jan and Jim Shook Wellness Center where they can take advantage of the exercise equipment for a nominal fee. The admissions process at the Lafayette location consists of applying for admissions, completing a FAFSA, attending a new student orientation, taking the COMPASS assessment test (or speaking to an admissions advisor regarding substituting previously earned credits for testing), and making an appointment with an academic advisor.
The school offers a tuition payment plan for students whose financial aid doesn’t cover all of the expense. These monthly incremental payments help ease the process of paying tuition.
Free parking is available on campus for all students and faculty. Students seeking public transportation may ride the CityBus at no charge.
