MLC Description
Martin Luther College educates students for the Christian evangelical ministry in a way that consistently honors the teachings of the Bible, while also honoring the individual interests and talents of each student. Bachelor’s degrees are awarded in Educational Ministry as well as in Pre-Seminary studies. Students take foundation courses in the liberal arts and sciences while working toward becoming ministers who are thoroughly grounded in Christian teachings.
In keeping with Martin Luther College’s mission to cultivate each student’s individual interests, students may take additional courses in the arts and other fields.
Students are also encouraged to pursue outside interests through student life activities such as student organizations. Some of these organizations and clubs include:
*Classical theatre group
*Literary magazine
*Photography club
*Renaissance club
*Student senate
Those interested in applying should, first and foremost, be committed to a life in the ministry. A high school GPA of at least 2.5 and an ACT score of at least 20 are required, as are pre-requisite high school courses in such subjects as English, Social Studies, Math, History and Religion.
Eligible students may receive financial aid. Loans, grants and work-study opportunities are offered to students who demonstrate a strong financial need. Scholarships are also available and are based on grade point average and/or test scores. Students must fill out a FAFSA to be considered for aid.
