Description
The Automotive Training Center (ATC) is a family-owned, private two-year career training school founded close to a century ago. Since then, it has grown to become one of Pennsylvania's most respected technical schools.
The school specializes in one- to two-year certificate programs in automotive and marine services. ATC's Exton campus is located in Chester County and is easily accessible to students from southeast and south central Pennsylvania, northern Maryland, Delaware and southern New Jersey.
ATC in Exton has an open admissions policy, which means that the admissions process is non-competitive. When considering enrollment to the school, students are matched with an Admissions Representative who helps them complete their applications. Contact the institution for more information on the admissions process.
As a leading technical school, ATC prides itself on its fully functioning shop and lab areas featuring up-to-date tools and equipment. Specialized labs, classrooms, shops and a library are also offered to students attending the school. Additional amenities include tutoring services and a student break room. On-campus housing is not provided, but there is affordable off-campus housing available. If a student wishes to cut the costs of living expenses, he can contact the school directly to be matched with a roommate.
The Automotive Training Center in Exton knows that a large part of the quality of education one receives rests on the caliber of the school's instructors. Students at ATC benefit from the real-world professional experience of the school's instructors. Most teachers have at least 20 years of experience and were certified by the manufacturing companies where they were previously employed.
The cost of attendance at ATC varies by program. Although textbooks are included in tuition, there may be additional fees such as uniforms, tools and living expenses. Financial aid is available to students who qualify. Eligibility for federal financial aid is determined after a student completes a FAFSA. Students who are residents of the state are encouraged to apply for grants issued by the Pennsylvania Higher Education Assistance Agency (PHEAA). Request information from the school to learn more about obtaining financial aid.
The Career Services Department at ATC is committed to helping each student reach his career goals, though the school cannot guarantee job placement. Through a partnership with the Automobile Dealers Association of Greater Philadelphia (ADAGP) and several independent and privately owned repair facilities, the school works hard to get students full-time employment after graduation. In addition, the department also helps students update their resumes and prepare for interviews as well as providing career development seminars.
