Provided by Conemaugh Valley Memorial Hospital
Memorial Medical Center, a member of Conemaugh Health System, has been educating and training health care professionals for more than 100 years. In addition to its physician residency programs, Memorial offers accredited education programs to those pursuing careers as registered nurses, histotechnologists, radiologic technologists, medical technologists and surgical technologists. Emergency medical technologist and paramedic programs are also available.
Students receive extensive clinical training from experienced and qualified instructors, and benefit from small student-to-faculty ratios. The programs are affordable, with scholarships and financial aid options available for accredited programs. Graduates who are interested in additional education can transfer credits to area colleges, leading to an Associate Degree or a Bachelor of Science Degree. And many students are employed in the field upon graduation.
Memorial Medical Center is the largest hospital between Pittsburgh and Harrisburg. It is a teaching hospital with a designated trauma center, and tertiary programs in cardiology and cardiac surgery, neuroscience, cancer care, vascular care, and several other medical and surgical fields. As a result, students at its many schools receive exceptional training in a broad spectrum of areas.
