Description

Our mission is to educate the best Cosmetologists and Nail Technicians in South Carolina, who will, with enthusiasm and inspiration, become the new leaders in our industry.

Kenneth Shuler Schools of Cosmetology is owned and operated by Kenneth Shuler. Mr. Shuler has been in the beauty industry for more than 50 years. Forty of those years have been dedicated to providing quality education in this industry.

Kenneth Shuler is dedicated to providing academic excellence by emphasizing challenging and inspiring components. We take great pride in offering the most advanced curriculum available to beauty schools across the country--Milady and CLiC.

Our instructors are all licensed by the South Carolina Board of Cosmetology. Every instructor is required to attend 15 contact hours of continuing education each year. In addition, our schools hold in-service training twice a year and all of our instructors are required to go through the Methods of Teaching course that is taught by our Educational Director, Angie Shuler, who has more than 30 years of experience in the classroom. The purpose of the Methods of Teaching course is to ensure that there is a consistency in teaching methodologies

Not only do we have classrooms with the latest technology, we also feature a salon-like environment where students receive the opportunity to get hands-on training in all of the leading-edge styles and techniques.

We have expanded Our North Augusta campus to include a separate, nearby facility that is used to train freshmen and sophomore-level students. New equipment has been purchased for both the student salon as well as the nail area. Our school is located on the border between South Carolina and Georgia.

Several times a year, each school holds Career Days. This is an opportunity for local salons to come to our campuses to meet, interview, and hire our senior students.

Prior to Career Days, staff from Kenneth Shuler provide students with training on resume writing, professional dress, interviewing skills, and building a business.

Our graduates play a special part in the Kenneth Shuler tradition and are always included in all of our activities such as groundbreakings, career days, and advisory boards.
